They are brown in color and filled with oil during the manufacturing process. India Abrasive Files are available in coarse, medium and fine grits. Coarse (C) 100 Grit Medium (M) 240 Grit Fine (F) 320 Grit India Knife Blades quickly sharpen, hone and maintain the edges and points of cutting tools. They are also the choice for clock and watch makers for their ability to quickly produce sharp, long-lasting edges and points. India Knife Blades hold up over time while continuing to deliver a consistent finish with each use. Choose the coarse grit to restore worn edges fast, the medium grit for producing the average edge needed for most tools, and the fine grit for the sharpest edges. Available in a 1" x 1/8" x 4" size. Although oil-filled, we recommend using an oil such as our Stoning Oil or Polishing Lubricant and Diamond Thinner for best results as the use of oil increases the sharpening action and minimizes the clogging of the stones' surface.
